The goal of this effort is to create and nurture more small, Bible based groups across Brown County. The purpose of these groups is to create an environment similar to what we see in Acts ch 2 vss 42-47. We read there that they met from house to house as well as in larger assemblies.
That is the goal of this endeavor. We are not trying to start a new church, we are trying to assist the church in Brown County to walk this journey together.
1 Cor 1:10
That is not the condition of our church today, but it can be! How? By applying Jesus' words in John's Gospel, ch 22:35-40, we see Jesus' answer regarding what is most important. He said, “Love God with all your heart…and your neighbor as yourself.“ He went on to say that this pretty much sums it all up.
We've made so many rules, created countless denominations and made division normal. Our endeavor is to put that all aside, and encourage one another to walk with Christ in small groups.
Like the Daffodil and the Crocus are rising up through the leaves and debris of winter to share their glory, so we too can rise and share God's glory, together.
In the Gospel of John, ch.13 vss. 34-35, Jesus tells his disciples the new way they are supposed to live; He simply says, “Love one another“. And then Jesus says an astonishing thing, “by this all people will know that you are my disciples“.
We would love to share more with you about this. Please consider attending the meeting at 10:00 am on Saturday, April 11th at Trails End Roadhouse on 135 S.
No commitment is expected.
We look forward to seeing you there.
